Parent's Meeting
Attention Shoremen Hockey Parents and Players!
There will be a "manditory" meeting this coming Tuesday evening (March 4, 2008) at 7 pm at the High School. Some of the topics of discussion will be:
1) Skate with the Shoremen (March 20th @ Rocky River),
2) Golf Outing (May 3rd),
3) Summer plans,
4) Equipment "turn in", and
5) A representative from "Puck Masters" will be present to discuss hockey training program avalable for the kids.
We need help from everyone. Everyone will be asked to be involved in our TEAM!
The meeting place at the High School will follow!

We're in the Westwinds. Go East on Walker. Take a left on Long Pointe and go to the stop sign. Turn left on Tradewinds to the stop sign. Turn left onto Harbor Court.
We will plan on having dinner for all unless we hear otherwise.
Woodard Photography Photo Ops
Woodard Photography was taking action shots at the January 6th game at River. The photos should be available on their website by tomorrow (Wednesday) for viewing and purchase. They can be found at www.woodardphoto.com

Senior Parents -
Woodard has been given your son's jersey number and will be taking action shots during Senior Night. They will be available to purchase soon after by visiting their website. The envelopes for the regular photo packages are being sent to the high school, forwarded to Coach Figueira and then on to you. They need to be filled out and brought to Senior Night if you would like pictures of the evening.
Hockey Boosters Board Nominations and Elections
2008/2009 Hockey Booster Board
President: Dusty Shaffer
Knowledge of the team by-laws, communicate w/ the school (when needed), help oversee the general running of the boosters and their functions.
Vice President: Len Louis
Assistant to the President; coordinate and organize fund raising.
Treasurer: Sally Rauch
Oversee the finances of the hockey club including; collection of dues (when needed), payment of all bills, deposits, and occasional IRS fillings.
Secretary: Barbara Cozier
Communication to the team & minutes taken at all board meetings. All board members are asked to help each other in time of need to help insure a smooth operating boosters / hockey club.
Mandatory Use of Mouth Guards
Last night at the Officials' Rules meeting, we had an extended discussion about the use of mouth guards. The rule requires that all players, including goalkeepers, wear a mouth guard. A team gets one warning. Failure to have the mouth guard in place after that is a 10 misconduct penalty. Unfortunately, compliance with this rule has not been where it should be. Coaches are often upset when this penalty is assessed and a player has to sit for such a long period.
We would ask your assistance in addressing this safety issue. During the pre-game meeting, the officials are again going to stress the point of having the mouth guard in place. We would ask that the ADs also please remind the coaches to make sure that the players comply with the rule.
